About
I'm a Mathematics and Computer Science student at the University of Birmingham, with a strong background in both theoretical and applied computing. I enjoy building software — from cloud-hosted databases to chess engines — and bringing the same rigour to code that I bring to mathematics.
Alongside my studies I tutor maths and physics (KS2 to A-level), lead a Scout group, and take part in hackathons and mathematical challenges whenever I can.

Projects
Designed and deployed a PostgreSQL database on AWS RDS and built an EC2-hosted web server communicating with it via PHP. Strengthened Linux skills and gained hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure.
Built a two-player chess game in Python using Pygame and object-oriented design. Applied intermediate algorithms (binary search, matrix representation) for board state management, and used sockets to connect two users for live play.
